What has been said about their quarrel is, I think, sufficient; for I know that the older men among you remember that they were opponents in the law-courts, for the importance of the cases and the fact that heavy damages were obtained by Archidamus gave publicity to their quarrel. Now Apollodorus had a son whom he brought up and dearly cherished, as indeed was only natural.
