São Paulo - Brazil — Núcleo Experimental will celebrate its 20th anniversary by revisiting As Troianas (The Trojan Women), one of the company’s most acclaimed productions. Originally staged in 2009, the production received nominations for the Shell, Cooperativa Paulista de Teatro and Quem awards and enjoyed several sold-out seasons. The new staging premieres August 18 at Teatro do Núcleo Experimental, in São Paulo’s Barra Funda neighborhood, and runs through October 7, with performances Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. Directed and adapted by Zé Henrique de Paula, with musical direction, compositions and arrangements by Fernanda Maia, the production features Bia Reze, Brian Penido Ross, Bruna Guerin, Edyelle Brandão, Fabio Redkowicz, Fernando Tavares, Giovanna Sassi, Larissa Noel, Laura Sciulli, Mari Rosinski, Nábia Villela, Patrícia Gifford, Vanessa Espósito and Victor Edwards.
